Bölgenin Özellikleri

Yirmi bir dalış noktasına sahip olan Kaş bunu biraz da Meis adasının bu bölgeyi açık deniz etkilerinden korumasına borçludur. Su altında yaygın bir şekilde bulunan posidonia oceanica, cymodocea nodosa ve halophila stipulacea deniz çayırları canlılar için ideal bir yumurtlama alanı oluştururlar. Pek çok İndo-Pasifik kökenli tür bölgeye yerleşmiş durumdadır. Bu türsel çeşitlilik yanında deniz altı topoğrafyası, batıklar ve en soğuk zamanlarda bile suyun sıcaklığının 18 santigrat derece dolaylarında olması bölgeyi dalış için cazip hale getirmektedir.

Features of the Region 

Kaş, which has twenty-one diving spots, owes this partly to the fact that Meis Island protects this region from the effects of the open sea. Seagrass meadows, posidonia oceanica, cymodocea nodosa and halophila stipulacea, which are common underwater, form an ideal spawning ground for creatures. Many species of Indo-Pacific origin have settled in the region. In addition to this species diversity, the submarine topography, shipwrecks and the fact that the temperature of the water is around 18 degrees Celsius even in the coldest times makes the region attractive for diving
